🌺Restaurant REVIEW Asia House

Asia House is located just a short walk from the beach in Puerto de Mogán (on top of the underground parking) and offers a mix of Chinese, Thai and Japanese dishes, including sushi, dim sum, curries, noodle dishes and teppanyaki.

The restaurant feels much more modern than many Asian restaurants. The interior is stylish, with comfortable chairs, marble-effect tables, warm lighting and attractive decorative features throughout. It feels spacious, clean and well presented.

What we ordered

For starters we chose:

* Samosas (€6.00)

* Fried Gyozas (€6.90)

Both were enjoyable and arrived quickly. The gyozas were crispy and tasty, while the samosas were pleasant without being particularly memorable.

For the main courses we had:

* Crispy Chicken (€13.90)

* Pad Thai Chicken (€13.90)

* White Rice (€2.90)

The Crispy Chicken was probably the highlight of the meal. The chicken was tender inside with a good crispy coating and a flavourful sauce.

The Pad Thai was a generous portion and nicely presented. It may not be the most authentic Thai Pad Thai you will ever eat, but it was enjoyable and suited the restaurant’s broad Asian menu concept.

For dessert:

* Fried Ice Cream (€6.50)

A fun and slightly nostalgic dessert that finished the meal nicely.

Service

The staff were polite and efficient throughout the meal.

However, our table selection was less successful.

Although we arrived early and there were many empty tables available, we were seated immediately beside the station where menus were stored. During the meal a waiter repeatedly needed access to the menus, resulting in one of us several times to allow access.

It was not a major issue, but with so many empty tables available it felt unnecessary and slightly disrupted what was otherwise a relaxed dinner.

Prices

The total bill for two people came to €61.50.

That included:

* Two starters

* Two main courses

* Rice

* One Dessert

* Three bottles of water

The water felt expensive at €3.80 per bottle, which was one of the few parts of the bill that stood out. It was Italian brand, personally I would so much more preferred water from Teror and Firgas to support local businesses.

Atmosphere

he restaurant feels more upmarket than many casual Asian restaurants and provides a comfortable setting for lunch or dinner.

Overall

Asia House delivers good quality Asian food in a modern and attractive setting. The Crispy Chicken was particularly enjoyable, the service was friendly.

The main negatives were the expensive bottled water and being seated beside the menu station when many quieter tables were available.

A pleasant meal in a beautiful dining room and certainly worth considering if you are looking for Asian food in Puerto de Mogán. 🌺
