There are some drinks that instantly feel like holiday.
For me, this is one of them.
Light, refreshing, slightly sweet with a gentle citrus sharpness — a Limoncello Spritz is one of those simple pleasures that fits perfectly with warm evenings in Puerto de Mogán.
Whether you are sitting by the harbour, enjoying a quiet moment on your balcony, or just want to recreate that feeling at home, this is a drink that always works.
🌞 My Version – Simple and Easy
There are many variations of a Limoncello Spritz, but this is the version I tend to make — simple, balanced, and easy to adjust to your taste.
🍸 You will need:
A large wine glass
Plenty of ice
🧾 Ingredients:
8 cl Limoncello
Lemonade (such as Clipper, or any good-quality lemonade)
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
A slice of lemon
🥂 How to Make It
Fill your glass completely with ice
(this really makes a difference, don’t be shy with it)
Pour in the Limoncello
Add the lemon juice
Top up with lemonade
Stir gently and finish with a slice of lemon
🍋 The Result
You get a drink that is:
Fresh and citrusy
Light and easy to drink
Slightly sweet, but still refreshing
It is less heavy than many cocktails and works beautifully in the heat.
🌺 A Small Tip
If you prefer it a little less sweet, you can:
Add a splash of soda water
Or reduce the lemonade slightly
If you prefer it more indulgent:
A little extra Limoncello does the trick
🏝️ A Taste of Puerto de Mogán
This is exactly the kind of drink that suits the rhythm here.
Slow afternoons, warm evenings, and that golden light as the sun starts to go down.
Simple, relaxed, and easy to enjoy.
💬 Your Turn
Have you tried a Limoncello Spritz before?
Or do you have your own version?
I’d love to hear how you make yours 🌺
