Good afternoon everyone šŗ
Many of you have mentioned the unpleasant smell near the beach, so I wanted to share some genuinely good news as soon as it was confirmed.

ā±ļø THE PUMPING STATION IS BEING MOVED
The Canary Islands Directorate General for Coasts has officially authorised the relocation of the wastewater pumping station by the beach and blue bridge , away from the beach.
This followed a working visit to MogƔn by the regional Directors General for Coasts and Water, hosted by Mayor Onalia Bueno.
Antonio Acosta, Director General for Coasts and Management of the Canary Islands Maritime Area, said the relocation should:
š Improve maintenance of the facility
š Reduce unpleasant odours
š Free up better use of the public coastal area
No date has yet been given for when the physical move will take place, but the approval itself is the key step, and I will let you know as soon as there is a confirmed timeline.

It is good to see this addressed directly rather than ignored, and I know many of you will be relieved to hear it. I will keep you updated as soon as there is more news on timing.
