If you’re staying in Puerto de Mogán and fancy a relaxing change of scenery without hiring a car, this is one of my favourite day trips.

Take Bus 91 from Puerto de Mogán.

Get off at Anfi del Mar, walk across the bridge onto the little island that many Scandinavians affectionately call “Heart Island” ❤️, and spend the day enjoying one of Gran Canaria’s most beautiful beaches.

🌊 One of my favourite things…

Just outside the Beach Club you’ll find steps leading directly into the crystal-clear Atlantic Ocean.

It’s one of my favourite places for an early swim before relaxing with breakfast overlooking the sea. 💙

At the end of the day, simply catch the ferry back to Puerto de Mogán for a lovely journey along the coastline.

🌴 Canary Islands launches “Tourism that Adds” initiative

Mogán’s mayor, Onalia Bueno, joined tourism representatives from across the Canary Islands yesterday to launch a new campaign encouraging visitors to enjoy the islands responsibly and respectfully.

The message is simple:

Tourist destinations are also people’s homes.

The campaign hopes to promote sustainable tourism while helping visitors and residents continue to enjoy the islands together.

🚓 Police investigation in Taurito

Local Police are investigating a business in Taurito following the seizure of several cannabis-derived products that may contain THC levels above the legal limit.

The products have been sent for laboratory testing while the investigation continues.
